Love: Television and musicals are my life. They both connect with the viewer on a much deeper emotional level than most films or music alone is capable to. I think Six Feet Under and Firefly are as near to perfect as television has ever been. I love [New] Doctor Who, Torchwood and Robin Hood and their ability to mix the serious with the down right mad.
Joss Whedon, Russel T Davis and JJ Abrams are the Gods of Televesion.
I’ve succumb to the power of procedurals and fallen for Bones, Criminal Minds and House MD.
Other favourites include Black Books, Blackadder, Brothers and Sisters, Friends, Heroes, How I Met Your Mother, Mock the Week, Monty Python, QI, Scrubs, Spaced The Class [Tell me again, why was this cancelled?], The IT Crowd, The League of Gentlemen, The Mighty Boosh and The Office [UK and US].

Living in Cardiff makes it very difficult to see any musical. Trips to London occur twice a year at best and a trip to New York is out of the question but I do my best hunting for bootlegs on YouTube and the like.
RENT, while not being my favourite musical, is one of the most important works I have come into contact with. It’s a case of ‘right place, right time’ with my discovering of it. I have also only really seen the film of it and with it closing soon and the folks in London insisting on making a reworked version, it looks like I’ll never see it on stage.
I have seen Blood Brothers and Spamalot on the West End and have a list as long as my arm containing what I want to see next, including Hairspray, Avenue Q and Wicked. I’m also heartbroken over not being able to make it to London for the Chess concert.
There are many musicals I hope will make there way to London [25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Altar Boyz, Sweeney Todd [again] and if [title of show] don’t make it to Broadway they can always take up residence here!]
I’m also waiting patiently for ‘Early 2009’ when Spring Awakening is due to open.
